McIlroy's newest custom ball honors chase for 2nd U.S. Open win

Rory McIlroy is hoping his newest Nike golf ball will be his good luck charm at Oakmont this weekend.

The 27-year-old will have a different custom ball for the U.S. Open from the custom ball he used at the Masters. Unlike the green camouflage mark on his first, this weekend’s ball will don a red camouflage Nike logo and “US2” underneath to represent his pursuit of his second U.S. Open Championship victory.

McIlroy will be looking for a better result than he had at the Masters after finishing four shots behind eventual winner Danny Willett.
